I love this movie

Brings tears to my eyes every time, no matter how many times I see it.

Which movie am I talking about?

Well there are a few movies that I have this reaction to. In what has become a "soon after Thanksgiving is done" tradition for me, I watched this. And I'll probably watch it a few more times during the holiday season to help me get into the Christmas spirit.

I have to give props here to one of my old college roommates, Steve, for introducing me to the magic that is this film.

Hey Green,

Why are you trying to be so secretive?? What was the movie?

Its a wonderful life is my ALL time favorite Christmas movie, that and the Christmas story.

I just love George Bailey. Cept, in the begining of the movie, was he just ignoring Donna Reeds bodacious set? He acted like she didn't exist... They just don't make bras like they used to! LOL

Oops. I apologize. I didn't see the link to the movie.

"Blond moment" No 503.

Ok since I'm a huge fan of Halloween one of my favorite Christmas movies is "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
But I did like the Penguins Christmas Caper too that was cute and really good for animations.
I also like "National Lampoons Christmas" and "The Santa Clause"
I like my holiday movies to have a bit of a twist to them.

All you have to do is click on the link & you'll find out the movie, no secrecy.....

With this template, links are in bold, and only show the underline when you bring the cursor arrow onto the word

Green,

This is what I get for trying to read blogs this morning while having a migrane. I slept in (since I stayed up too late watching "Sahara") and was reading posts with only one eye open!!

:> How was your Thanksgiving?

Was Sahara any good? I bought the DVD but haven't found time to watch it yet.

I clicked on the link, and it just brought me back to your blog. hmmm...

My favorite Christmas story is just that--- "Christmas Story", where the little kid gets his tongue stuck on that iced up pole! Always puts me in the Christmas spirit.

Yes, Sahara was really good. I rented it and watched it twice!

I also rented Batman Begins, which was also good, but it resembled Spiderman a little too much for me.

~deb: don't know what you did, but the link does work....

carla: Looks like I'll have to watch Sahara this weekend. I buy too many dvd's & not enough time to watch them. Maybe I ought to re think this...

I had subscribed to the pay movie channels but canceled them last night, since I hae enough movies to open a small video store....

I think she meant the title of your post is underlined, like it is supposed to link somewhere. And when you click on it, it takes you right back to you. When you click on the link INSIDE the post, it works. Your post for the day before has the same sort of non-functioning link on the top.

I know what you mean about owning a video store. I am a movie fanatic, too, but I have been saving by renting lately.

Hope that helps.

Perhaps you are right. Maybe she did click on the title, which would take you back to me.

Maybe it's my vanity that does that.. (hehe)

I'd forget to return the movies I rent, thus encouraging late fees. It's hard to resist when Wal-Mart advertises some DVD's at $3.44 a pop (as they did for a limited time yesterday morning, the craziest shopping day of the year) - slightly less than renting, these days....

Deb~ I did the same thing, I'll click the other one...

Green ~ I love Christmas movies, but my favs are the animated ones on TV shown every year with Burl Ives and Dick VanDyke for voices. I never get bored with them!

Everyone ~ Start your Christmas shopping yet??? ::ducking::

Ok, I'm a guy so i gotta say it:

scribe: On It's a Wonderful Life:

Answers to your comments are -

A) Yes it is one of the best movies ever made. Hands down.

B) NO.

I used to think b&w movies were crap because they were b&w but this movie (and a few others) showed me for the liar I was. I was in denial...

In some ways, I've always felt B&W to be superior to color, especially when conveying mood. Besides, older movies age better in B&W.
